This is my laboratory, a place for exploring the wonders of the universe. What’s more, it is intended as a place to celebrate my fellow explorers, those brave men and women who challenge the orthodox and push the frontiers of knowledge. Call them mad if you will, but our modern world owes them a great debt. Here we will learn about visionaries of the past, such as Nikola Tesla, Marie Curie, Isaac Newton and others, and also learn about those who carry on their legacy today. Many of these stories are inspirational, some comic, and others quite tragic, but hopefully, we all have something to gain from them.
I leave you, for now, with a quote from the real life scientist most associated in the common imagination with the image of the mad scientist, Tesla.
“Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.”
